Here we celebrate the vision Oumayma brought to life with the support of an all-women team. Such an amazing ensemble of creativity altogether and truly the best way to honor the spirit of International Women’s Day.
"To create this series, we had to go and meet all these women. We drove all over New York City in two days in a snowstorm in the middle of February... let's just say it was quite a challenge! We went from Queens to Chinatown, from Tribeca to Clinton Hill. It was a project I had been wanting to do for a while, I took the time to choose each woman for what they inspired me and what they brought to NY."

From Felukah, an Egyptian rapper photographed in Chinatown, to Rana Abdelhamid, a community organizer in Queens that offers self-defense classes, to Laila Gohar, a food artist in Tribeca, this project highlights their uniqueness, their work, and what it brings to the city.
